WRITINGS POINTING TO CHRIST
That the church may be edified...Ephesians 4:11,12
So many days I would wake up sad that I am still in this ugly, sinful world. A world that does not want to live Holy, a world that does not want to believe in the True and Living God, but mostly, a world that does not want to serve The Risen Savior, Jesus Christ.
I have said many times that I hate it here (knowing that God has blessed me a with precious family, and even a few faithful friends.)
When I think of (just) the good things that He has done I get happy, and I carry on with each day, but in the back of mind I'd still think..."I hate it here."
I am not perfect, but I have purposed in my heart to live for Christ; to study His Word; to change and grow; to tell people about Jesus; to go to bible study; to go to church; to honor my husband; to be kind to others. Not by my own might, but by the power of God!
I'd imagine that at my Home Going my family would say "SHE DIDN'T LIKE IT DOWN HERE, ANYWAY!"
BUT... THIS morning The Holy Spirit spoke to me and told me "Don't be sad, because all God did was give you more time..."
More time to do His will...
More time to fulfill my destiny...
More time to tell someone else about Jesus...
More time to get more jewels in my crown...
More time to have more works that will not be burned!
We all will stand before Him one day, and only what we have done for Him will last.
Now I plan to look forward to new days, and new opportunities to see what He will bring to pass in my lifetime, for He is:
A GOOD GOD; A FAITHFUL GOD; A MERCIFUL GOD; A KIND GOD, A LOVING GOD; A COMPASSIONATE GOD; A CARING GOD; A GIVING GOD, A FORGIVING GOD; A HOLY GOD; A TRUE GOD; A WORTHY GOD; A PATIENT GOD; A MIGHTY GOD; AN UNDERSTANDING GOD; AN AWESOME GOD; A WISE GOD; AND SO MUCH MORE!
I want to see God and His Son. I want to spend eternity with Jesus and tell Him over and and over again "Thank you!"
I want to live a life that pleases Him and persuade others to do the same. I want to see unbelievers accept our Lord and Savior. I want to encourage the saved to hold on, exercise your gifts, and to live for God!
One day death will come, and then eternity, it is inevitable...but right now, I have more time!
